HR & Vegas: Gondola Ride?

by

Dudes, I’m stealing free wifi from The Venetian. I’m sitting outside by the gondola ride. My husband & I took this ride while we were engaged — right before our wedding in Las Vegas, nearly six years ago.

Ah, memories. I remember how I had to shrew him into sitting in the gondola.

Some things never change.

Back to HR & talent management: the conference is fine. Are you following me on Twitter? It’s all traditional HR stuff. Manage your people, keep it simple, blah blah blah. You know the drill.

I still feel that 95% of HR is useless and needs to be outsourced. The rest should be staffed with experts and specialists. It sucks for me because I’m a Human Resources Generalist with my irrelevant SPHR certification — but whatever, I’ll survive. Don’t cry for me, Argentina.

I did learn that LinkedIN has a blog. I’m sure 99% of America knew that fact, but I’m a self-absorbed punk rocker and I never paid attention. Let me tell you something: ignore LinkedIN at your peril, yo. They are going to take over the world.
