Some of you know that I’ve been tossing around the idea of writing the definitive Gen X book on management & corporate culture. The idea is to create a book that defines leadership, accountability, and management integrity without sounding like a pompous baby boomer with too much money and not enough humility.
I’ve worked in several corporations that remind me of Greek tragedies (hubris & death), and I am starting to create a list of lessons learned from those experiences. If anything, I hope this exercise in ‘documentation’ helps me to develop into a better leader.
Yeah, a better shift-leader at Starbucks.
Have you learned any lessons that you want to share? Any thoughts about how to transform the Greek tragedy that is Corporate America into a post-modern comedy starring Will Ferrell? Just let me know via email or in the comments section below.
