Serious Reform in America

by

If we’re serious about reform in America, why aren’t we insisting upon passage of a new ERA for a new century of American prosperity and leadership?

  • Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State. on account of sex.
  • Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
  • Section 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification.

You may raise objections that homosexuals and women shouldn’t be allowed in the military. You could say that lesbians and transgendered citizens don’t deserve equal protection. You say that we have existing laws on the books to protect Americans from discrimination and bias.

Please shut up.

Your bias and your stupidity are holding America back. Your greed and selfishness keep the American workforce mired in gender politics of the 70s instead. We’re spending millions of dollars arguing about EFCA and Lilly Ledbetter when we should be focused on green technology and solving the energy crisis.

Shut up, already, and start demanding accountability from your fellow citizens. Put it in writing — in the constitution.
